This material is unique and has many applications in the global industry needing a high density, highly flexible and highly tolerant non-toxic plastic-like material. We have perfected the technique to inject this compound in industrially-sized volumes to perform the making of ammunition components and derivatives.

About OCALO and OCALO Shutter

High Pressure resistant tested in CIP standard N°1354 B4000 in Liège, Belgium from 11450 psi up to 19580 psi (740 to 1350 pressure bar).

Acceleration & Speed Resistance tested from 960 fps up to 1350 fps (300 to 411 m/s).

Fire resistant to gun powder ignition.

Material density of 1.26 (OCALO Shutter will sink in water for no visual pollution).

Field Colored to avoid visual pollution in the field (Select yours !)

No change in loading process, OCALO Shutter is CIP Approved for gun firing use in ammunition. No specific loading technique required.

Biodegradability

Our Shutters are made of OCALO non toxic compound. As per Norm EN 13432, our OCALO material is 100% biodegradable in both lab and natural conditions tested in temperatures ranges from 22°F to 176°F.

While being a 100% bio-sourced non-toxic material and being naturally ingested by the biomass, OCALO Shutter biodegrades 400 times faster than other petrol-based ammunition components from the current market standards.

Due to its high density material, OCALO Shutter sinks in water allowing for no visual pollution in swamps, ponds or lakes. Traditional plastic wads float.

Because OCALO material is stabilized even though biodegradable, keeping of the wads shall be conducted in normal keeping conditions in a dry environment at room temperature.
