The production of any J.C SHOTWELL & SONS shotgun begins with the barrels, created out of solid steel. These tubes are meticulously drilled, turned, reamed, joined and polished to ensure a perfect balance and reliability to wear. Our barrel-makers guarantee each barrel is perfectly round and concentric, creating pieces of immense reliability, precision and elegance.

Once the barrels are complete, they are handed to the action expert gunsmith, who will undertake the most labour intensive part of the process: fitting the barrels to the action. J.C SHOTWELL & SONS have expertly retained the right balance between craft and precision engineering to ensure the reliability of your shotgun for the decades to come.

Our stocks are standard sized for lefties or righties shooters. Carving and design is made from the finest Turkish walnut, an aesthetically stunning and notoriously strong material that has been dried for several years. This part of your shotgun provides for comfort, accuracy and style. We ensure you experience all of the above.

The craftsmen in our partner factories bring together all the processes to the build of every gun. The finisher’s skills ensure the final details of every piece are perfect from ejector-timing to trigger pulls; from lacquering the metalwork to chequering and polishing the wood to a lustrous glow. Once the final touches are complete the gun is ready to leave us and begin its life in the field for the years to come.
